Let’s celebrate a successful Earth Week with an exciting trip to Kickapoo State Park! SECS and BikeFace will team up for a camping and canoe trip next Saturday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 4th. We will camp at Kickapoo's Eerie Loop and Canoe 8 miles down Kinny's Ford. Get excited!! The trip will cost $25 per person DUE THIS WEDNESDAY APRIL 30th to Lauren Dahmm during the weekly SECS meeting at the YMCA. You must pay by Wednesday night or you may not go. - If you will not be at the Wednesday meeting to pay, contact Lauren now.

WHERE TO MEET:
Bikers:
Meet at the Urbana Farmers Market and tour the Urbana Bike Expo at Lincoln Square Mall. At 11am, Nate and Michaele will have their cars available to carry your belongings and you'll leave for Kickapoo after that.
Non Bikers:
Meet in front of the YMCA at 1:30pm on Saturday. Departure is at 2pm. Nate Lawrence, Michaele Strauch, Mitchell Killough, and Kevin Dinh have graciously offered to drive us to Kickapoo! Make sure you and your stuff gets into one of their cars before we leave at 2pm.
MENU (all food will be vegetarian)
Saturday Dinner: Foil Dinners <3 (vegetables cooked with butter in tin foil over the fire)
Saturday Snacks: S’mores, Hot Cocoa
Sunday Breakfast: Oatmeal and Fruit
WHAT TO BRING:
You are responsible for your own:
-sleeping bag and pillow
-utensils, plates, cups, bowls (we will NOT be providing any paper plates or plastic utensils)
-water bottle
-a tent! (if possible, bring a tent)
-lunch for Sunday! (we won’t be home until around 4pm so prepare your own lunch and snacks)

SCHEDULE:
Saturday May 3rd:
11am - bikers depart from Farmers Market
2pm - non-bikers carpool, departing from YMCA
6:30pm - foil dinners
9pm - smores and snacks
Sunday May 4th:
7:30am - breakfast and pack up camping gear
9:00am - go to the Landing to get our canoes
10am - depart on canoe trip (takes 3-4 hours according to their website)
2pm - arrive back at the Landing
3pm - head home
